So this guy the NOPD beat the hell out of.

64, rather overweight, and pretty clearly not moving all too well.

The video I’m sure you’ve all seen by now depicts the guy getting the living hell beat out of him by not one, not two, but three cops. Two to hold him while the other beats the living hell out of him.

The video from the balcony above the scene…what, haven’t seen that one yet? Count yourself fortunate. The video from the balcony above the scene shows the poor bastard laying on the ground in a huge pool of his own blood. There’s so much blood, you can clearly see it running off the sidewalk and into the street.

I paled. I literally could not believe what I was seeing.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the stress the people of New Orleans have had to deal with. I know I’ll never be able to understand what the emergency workers and police had to do to hold themselves together during this past month and a half.

I’ve always supported the police. I’ve always tried to be an advocate for them were I could. I still am.

But these guys…they’re not police. They’re thugs.
