I have a feeling I may be rooting for the Cards in a few weeks.
Triple-espresso loaded, gun-toting in the bell tower crazy hard, let me tell you.
Sure, she’s good-looking. She’s also crazy. Crazy as a shithouse rat. Run for your life.
Just a maintenance post more than anything else. Incredibly busy with work, Jo’s schedule and “school” for all.
Still alive. Looking forward to the Holidays already…as that seems to be the first real slowdown in sight.
On the 24th I opted to take the warehouse position full time.
I should probably clear up something here…the “warehouse” is only a warehouse in name. It’s the back room or stockroom of the store I manage. We call it the warehouse for clarity and it sounds a wee bit more impressive in emails.
It made a difference, the knowing. I think I was a bit up in the air on things as I really didn’t know where I was going to “land” when all was said and done. But now I know I have a place that I have the ability to “make my own” and control very personally.
I don’t get the daily customer interaction on a day to day basis, but the regulars know I’m back there and always pop their heads back to say “hi”.
It’s a much more family friendly schedule…no longer being called on to cover nights or weekends, and I can get out really early to help facilitate after-school pick ups and activities.
It’s a tad daunting, but thus far it’s been good. Some obvious problems have surfaced, but easily corrected with a bit of adjustment.
Let’s see if I’m still OK with all of this in Dec.
The “project’ also moves along, with a little less fanfare than was presented to me at first. No problem, but it’s interesting to see how a bunch of designers change once they actually have to produce something on a deadline.
