I’m still speechless. I hate to seem ingracious in your company, but there are hardly words that I could have picked at those moments.
I’m not accustomed to the kindness of strangers, nor the generosity of friends. Though as human beings it’s our duty to assist each other, I have always tried to shurk what aid I may have ever recieved. I prefer to rely only on myself- it’s easier- as I always feel duty-bound to repay a kindness, and I haven’t always been able to. This tends to lower my opinion of myself from time to time. I could say “thank you” until it sounds as meaningless as “I’m sorry” does to my wife, but that would be a heinous slight to the friendship you have shown me despite someone’s early efforts to keep us from ever becoming friends. I’m glad that your better judgement four years ago was to not follow your “better judgement.” I hope I can make good on that decision, because I have been fortunate enough to reap the benifits of a true friend, PC be damned.
Hey! Where’s my PC?
Heh. Sounds like you did a good thing. What a surprise!
Good on you, mate.
