After talking with the wife, the brother and a good friend, I feel a bit better about what’s going on at the shop. At least the unease has passed.

I like working here and I really don’t want that to change, ’cause let’s be honest, I ain’t here for the money.

So the woman who runs the warehouse at the shop intercepted an email that she should not have seen. NO fault of her own, my email had been set to forward to her while I was on vacation. Of course, the guy who set it up forgot about it, so in conversations we had via email, she…read some things.

Now, it’s not like I was mean or anything, far from it. I took great pains to point out her merits to the shop. There were, however, several personal issues regarding other employees that just could not be ignored.

I feel for this woman, she’s gruff, but she’s nice once you get to know her. She’s just the type of person who’s trust gets earned.

Anyway, she read some things and now she’s quitting. The terrible part about it is how ambivalent I feel about the whole mess.

She’s nice and does good work, but it’s not exactly rocket science, and finding a replacement isn’t going to be as hard as all that in the long run. Indeed, I think that in the long run, things will improve somewhat, as some of the issues we’ve had to deal with and tiptoe around won’t be a factor anymore.

Still, I don’t want to be the guy who just looks at it and says, “move on.” I’ve already had to do that and it sucks.

This time is not as bad, but that lingering feeling remains.

My brother is going out of town today for about a week. My best bud. Sucks.

I know I tend to take him for granted sometimes, but I miss him when he’s gone.

Geeze…now that I’m done sounding like a little girl.

Until I figure out what I’m doing with the design. That, and some of the links need to be updated.

I needed to change this to something darker today. It just about made my eyes explode when it came up just awhile ago.

I’ll be changing it again soon enough once I get some time to do some custom work, but this will do for now.

…am I loosing touch with my friends?

Oh yeah, made it home in just over 22 hours. What fun.

In just a bit we start the 20hr.+ trek home.

Wish us luck.

It was good.

Won some stuff I was really interested in…always a cool thing. Even got some extra special surprises.

More later.

Ahhh…Wendego spit!

My SaS game this evening was run by Jessie “The Man” Scoble…ya know…one of the blokes who actually WROTE the freaking game?

Anyway, I had myself the geek bliss of being in a nice wee game with me mates and The Man. Even signed my comic for me.

Nice guy. Hope we weren’t too rough on him…we have a tendency to do that.
