Besides, just torturing prisoners gets boring after awhile.
POTUS visited the Dairy State this past week. He gave the commencement address at a local university and visited some other places around the state.
Well one mayor is pretty ticked off at the visit.
According to the mayor of La Crosse, WI, the visit cost his town somewhere around $50-$60k. He does not feel that the town or it’s taxpayers should have to pay for it, as the visit was nothing more than a political rally. He plans on submitting a bill to the RNC, and failing that, taking the RNC to court.
My mother calls once or twice a day normally. She’s got a T-Mobile plan that allows her to call any other T-Mobile customer for free. Anyway, she’s been calling…Slightly more these days, as we get closer to baby-time.
Every time her phone rings she nearly kills herself leaping for it. Everything Jo’s family’s phone rings, same result.
Now, every time I hear Jo’s ring on my phone, I have a wee freakout moment.
Everyone I know that I see is now in “Baby Mode”. They always ask after Jo, ask if we’ve had the baby…as if I’d be back at work the next day or something…and so forth.
My days are now spent in ready-mode. A familiar feeling from my past. This time, it’s not with the same sense of quiet dread.
…or else they just forgot what it was.
